The Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia (CTCNS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the province’s Christmas Tree and greenery producers. As the umbrella organization for three regional associations:
- Lunenburg County Christmas Tree Producers’ Association (LCCTPA) serving the South Shore of Nova Scotia
- Cobequid Christmas Tree Producers’ Association (CCTPA) serving central Nova Scotia area of the Province
- Northeastern Christmas Tree Association (NeCTA) serving Northeastern Nova Scotia
Together, we represent growers across Nova Scotia with a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Our work centers on advancing the industry through research, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge. We support the adoption of best practices that enhance field productivity, promote environmental stewardship, and strengthen the long-term viability of Christmas Tree farming in Nova Scotia.
In collaboration with research partners, we lead applied studies across a range of areas including soil health, tree quality, pest and wildlife management, pollination, and shearing techniques. These efforts ensure producers have access to practical, science-driven solutions that support both operational success and ecological responsibility.
Nova Scotia’s forest-grown Christmas Trees are recognized worldwide for their symmetry, fragrance, and lasting freshness. Our trees are exported globally, reaching destinations throughout the Caribbean, Central America, the Middle East, and beyond. At CTCNS, we are committed to continuous learning and industry development. By fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge across our network, we help ensure Nova Scotia remains a leader in premium Christmas Tree production for generations to come.
